BDF is official partner of the two main European business support networks: Enterprise Europe Network and European Business Innovation Center Network. In addition we organise international trade missions, matchmaking and exchange events and support entrepreneurs with soft landing programs to successfully enter foreign markets.

Inqubator Leeuwarden
BDF set up the Inqubator Leeuwarden in 2010. It is now the hotspot in Friesland for students, start-ups and professionals to turn a good idea into a new business. Inqubator distinguishes Stand-ups, Start-ups and Grow-ups and provides tailored and practical support to them. It operates from two locations: the general incubator in the city center and the Water Inqubator located at WaterCampus Leeuwarden.
Inqubator plays hosts to foreign start-ups as well. Inqubator facilitates them to enter the Dutch market via a dedicated soft landing programme.
Connection with SME’s
BDF has a strong connection with SMEs and entrepreneurship both in the region and in Europe. Our network consists of both starting entrepreneurs and established businesses. Sectors vary from water technology to gastronomy.
BDF is an official partner of the two largest European advisory networks: Enterprise Europe Network and European Business Innovation Center Network. Through these networks we offer companies and schools from our region who want to internationalize direct foreign contacts from our network.
